Spring Style: Banana Leaf Print Trend

SO, if you couldn't tell from my outfit blog/insta posts (sare_uh)- I don't wear much color, or prints. HOWEVER, I've recently been inspired to break outside my fashion comfort zone and try some new looks...starting with these banana leaf print or palm print (call it what you want) mules from Schutz*.

Schutz D'Ana Mule: unfortunately they are sold out but Shopbop, Amazon, & Revolve carry this brand

*Schutz has some great shoes for under $200 - I have a couple of their heels also and I must say they are pretty comfortable.

These are a great shoe for spring, on trend, & add some color to my wardrobe! Here's how I styled mine...(obv champ makes the outfit but yah)

Faux Fur Reversible Knitted Vest: Bloomingdales, Top: Free People, Jeans: JBRAND Jeans, Bag: Goyard, Sunglasses: Dita
Top: H&M, Jeans: JBRAND Jeans, Bag: Gucci
This picture brings me back to the old days (before my tripod) of "from where sarah stands"

The banana leaf trend has been popping up everywhere this season with designers like Alice & Olivia and Milly doing their own take on it.

Alice & Oliva
From Left to Right: Benny Smocked Wide Band Pant with matching top (shop here), Coley Palm Print A-Line Shift Dress (shop here
Milly
From Left to Right: Ruffle Tiered Mini Skirt (shop here), Banana Leaf Jordan Mini Dress (shop here)

BUT the true OG, is the wallpaper from the iconic Beverly Hills Hotel.

"Designer and decorator Don Loper created the Martinique Banana Leaf print for the hotel in 1942, and it has maintained a level of cultural influence across design, travel, fashion, and art ever since" - Travel & Leisure

The Beverly Hills Hotel even collaborated with the luxury shoe brand, KOIO, for a three shoe capsule collection - available here.

SO, what do you guys think of this printed trend? Will you break out some color for Spring?

LOVE FWSS
